George Lutov, Ph.D. Eng.

(Associate Geologist / Exploration)

Dr. George Lutov is an accomplished economic geologist and mineralogist with a strong blend of academic, analytical, and field experience developed over more than 15 years of professional work in mineral exploration, laboratory investigations, and scientific research. His expertise spans a wide spectrum of geological disciplines, including mineralogy, geochemistry, ore microscopy, geochemical halo characterization, drilling-related operations, and advanced analytical methods for the study of ore-forming processes. A significant part of his professional strength lies in his ability to integrate high-level analytical techniques—such as SEM/EDS investigations (JEOL 6010 Plus/LA and ZEISS EVO-10), reflected-light ore microscopy, and mineralographic studies—with practical field geology. This places Dr. Lutov among the few specialists in Bulgaria capable of conducting both advanced microanalytical research and on-site geological interpretation at an expert level. His academic background includes a Ph.D. in Economic Geology, focused on mineral associations, ore-forming processes, and the evolution of epithermal Au-Ag systems. With more than nine years of university teaching and laboratory work at the University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilski” and the Technical University of Sofia, he has contributed to educating a new generation of geologists while developing a robust publication record in respected scientific journals such as Comptes Rendus de l’Académie Bulgare des Sciences and the Review of the Bulgarian Geological Society. Combining scientific rigor, practical field competence, and advanced instrumental expertise, Dr. Lutov brings a rare multidimensional profile to the exploration and analytical geology community. His work continues to support both academic research and the successful implementation of exploration and exploitation projects in the industrial, construction-material, and ore-mineral sectors.
