Coarse Flake Graphite Project. In the summer of 2025, a reconnaissance geological program was carried out, targeting the exploration for coarse flake graphite in a prospective area of the Central Rhodope Mountains, Bulgaria. The study was based on the analysis of regional geological data, existing mapping, remote sensing methods, and field observations, with the aim of locating zones with increased mineral potential. The work included geological traverses, inspection of occurrences, preliminary sampling, and structural–lithological analysis.
The results of the reconnaissance allowed the delineation of prospective areas with favorable geological conditions and potential for coarse flake graphite mineralization. Based on the collected data, a target zone was defined for the next stage of detailed geological exploration and deposit evaluation.
