FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA (2011).
World GeoMaps Inc. (amalgamated in 2025 with BALKAN GEOLOGICAL SURVEY) successfully completed a major 2011 Mapping project for the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, Nigerian Geological Survey Agency. Project, cover entire territory of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Our role encompassed map design, production, geodatabase design-creation, cartography and GIS for more than 150 official government map sheets across various thematic and scale series, briefly listed below:
MAPS
- Geophysical Interpretation, including on each map sheet: TMI Reduced to Pole (RTP), First Vertical Derivative of RTP, Amplitude of the Analytic Signal, Ternary Radiometrics – Total 69 Map Sheets (2M - 1 map, 1M – 3 maps, 250k – 65 maps).
- Regolith and Landform Interpretation, including on each map sheet: Landsat TM -742, Ternary Radiometrics (over shaded image of topography), SRTM Topography, Landform Interpretation – Total 69 Map Sheets (2M - 1 map, 1M – 3 maps, 250k – 65 maps).
- Shaded Colour Image of the First Vertical Derivative of the Pole-Reduced Magnetic Field – 4 Map Sheets (2M - 1 map, 1M – 3 maps).
- Shaded Colour Image of the Pole-Reduced Magnetic Field – 4 Map Sheets (2M - 1 map, 1M – 3 maps).
- Ternary Colour Image of Potassium, Equivalent Thorium and Equivalent Uranium.
