DRILLING OPERATIONS AND GEOLOGICAL SUPERVISION

Balkan Geological Survey Ltd. provides comprehensive oversight of drilling programs, combining operational control with expert geological supervision to ensure safe, efficient, and defensible exploration outcomes. Drilling activities are conducted by our partner drilling companies, all fully equipped and licensed. We manage the entire drilling process, including site planning, surveying, and determination of coordinates, azimuth, and inclination. Throughout drilling, parameters such as tooling and core recovery quality are continuously monitored.

Our geologists collaborate closely with contractors and project owners to optimize meter productivity, maintain rigorous QA/QC standards, and capture essential geological data for technical reporting. The recovered core is carefully logged in labeled boxes with detailed lithological and structural descriptions, including texture, structure, mineral composition, alteration features, fracturing, core recovery, and RQD values. Sampling follows a standardized protocol incorporating duplicates, blanks, and references, and all analyses are conducted by accredited laboratories under strict QA/QC procedures to ensure accuracy and traceability.

All collected data are integrated into a geological database to support interpretation, modeling, and the preparation of geological cross-sections and block models. This enables mineral resource and reserve estimation in compliance with international standards (JORC, CIM/NI 43-101, or CRIRSCO), providing a solid and technically sound foundation for further exploration, evaluation, and potential development of the deposit.
